February 1 Terry Fox Humanitarian Award Program App. $28 000 over four years Good academic standing, involved in humanitarian activities, planning on going into their first year of study.
February 5 Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities 2 x $1500 Parents must own/rent land and pay taxes to a Rural Municipality.  Essay is required.
February 20 Top 20 Under 20 Recognition as a top Canadian leader and a trip to Toronto. Must briefly describe your three most significant accomplishments and elaborate on the activity or project that you led, initiated, or founded that impacted a broader community.

Must include a letter of endorsement by a sponsor.

February 23 RBC Students Leading Change Scholarship 15 x $10 000 Minimum 70% average, must answer 2 essay questions on “leaders of change”, can also apply for a Me to We Trip.
February 29 Stacey Levitt Memorial Award 1 x $2500 Applicants must submit a short essay on living life to the fullest, helping others, etc.  Letter of recommendation required.
February 28 RBC Royal Bank Scholarship for Aboriginals 10 x $4000 For status and non-status Indians, Inuit or Metis pursuing post-secondary education
February 28 Canadian Welding Association Foundation Award 20-25 x $2000-$2500 For students who are applying into a welding program and for students enrolled in the first period of a welding program.
February 28 Joseph G. Doria Exemplary Student Award 1 x $3000 Must display academic excellence, passion for welding and community involvement. Must be entering a full-time welding program.
March 1 Saskatchewan Agriculture Student Scholarship 1 x $1000

3 x $2000

Must be planning to take an agriculture related program. Must submit a 3 minute video or 1,000 word essay that highlights agriculture’s stewardship story.
March 1 Canadian Association of Principals Student Leadership 12 x $750 One grade 12 student per school may be nominated by the school administrator.  Based on leadership activities in the school and community and on academic achievement. Each nominee must complete the questionnaire and essay.
March 15 Campion College – University of Regina Varies Campion College (Arts/Science Student) and University of Regina. Graduating grade 12 this year and plan on attending the U of R next year. There are over 15 scholarships you can apply.
March 15 Vanier Collegiate General Scholarship Application Form Varies YOUR MIDTERM MARKS COUNT!  The application will be handed out in Christian Ethics classes and will be available online once the 2016 form is updated.
April 8 Canadian Parents for French 2 x $1500 Available for French Second Language students entering their first year of post-secondary program in French language.
May 1 Moose Jaw Bursary Fund (PSSD and HTCSD)   Please scroll down to the bottom of the scholarship page and click on Vanier.  Read each scholarship description carefully.  Some you have to apply online and others are decided at the school level.
May Moose Jaw Co-op Student Scholarship 3 x $1000 Must have worked at the Moose Jaw Co-op for at least 6 months of his/her Grade 12 year, must have a personal Moose Jaw Co-op membership and must pursue some type of post-secondary education. Application must be made within one year of graduating grade 12.
June Marilyn McCrea Scholarship 2 x $500 To assist Moose Jaw and area female students in pursuit of a career in a field where women are under-represented.

Terry Fox Humanitarian Award Program

Terry Fox Humanitarian Awards are open to graduating secondary level students and those currently studying towards a first university degree or diploma in a Canadian post-secondary institution. For students in Quebec, you must be entering 2nd year cégep or university.

To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Involvement in voluntary humanitarian work.
  • Canadian citizens or landed immigrants.
  • Undergraduates studying towards their first university degree or diploma at a Canadian post-secondary institution in Canada.
  • Maintain a satisfactory academic standing and continued involvement in voluntary humanitarian and community work.

Students are eligible to receive the Terry Fox Humanitarian Award until they have received their first university degree (for a maximum of four years), provided they have maintained a standard of humanitarian work and personal conduct which, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, justifies the award.

Canadian Parents for French

Up to two scholarships of $1,500 are available for French Second Language (FSL) students entering their first year of a post-secondary program in the French language.

Dr. Mary Joyce Booth was a devoted and enthusiastic educator, well known in Canadian Parents
for French circles for many years before her death on March 22, 2007. She was passionate about
promoting French-Second-Language (FSL) education. Dr. Booth was a professor of French in the
College of Education, Department of Curriculum Studies, at the University of Saskatchewan in
Saskatoon. She endlessly supported opportunities for young FSL students. She also provided
moral, professional, personal, and financial assistance to all levels of Canadian Parents for French over the years. Her interest in FSL initiatives started early; her passion for language was her life’s work. This award honours her memory.

Bursary Program for French Studies

Students who are interested in learning or practicing French are welcome to apply for Destination Clic (Grade 8 and 9) or Explore.

Participants in these programs receive a bursary and are able to practice their French-language skills through a variety of workshops, classes, and cultural activities.

 Student Eligibility:  If you’re a high school senior applying to college, or you’re currently a college student, and you have an interest in sustainability and the environment, then we’d love to hear your thoughts on what sustainability means to you. Burger King Scholarship

Need Help Paying For College?

High school seniors, Burger King employees or children of workers can apply to receive up to $50 000 in scholarship awards for 2016-2017 school year!  You must have 75%.  Apply today!  The application period opens on October 15 and closes December 15,2015.  We have had Vanier students win this scholarship in the past.

TD Scholarship for Community Leaders

TD Scholarships for Community Leadership, is one of the most largest and most prestigious scholarship programs in Canada.  These scholarships are awarded to students now in their final year of high school across Canada who have shown exceptional initiative in making a meaningful and lasting difference in their community.  Each scholarship includes four years ofull tuition at any approved university or college in Canada, $7500 per year towards living expenses nad offers of summer employment.

Criteria:

  • Capable of entering and successfully completing either university or college, with a minimum average of 75% (high school), the focus of these scholarships is not primarily on rewarding highest marks.
  • The key criterion is outstanding community leadership.
