Criteria and Requirements:  For students (14-17 years old) who have demonstrated exceptional service, positive contributions, notable deeds, bravery or leadership within their schools, communities, province or country.  Winner will learn about Canada’s tremendous First World War Effort.


Burger King Scholars Program

Criteria and Requirements:  must have minimum average of 80%, web based application, consideration is given to each applicant’s academic record (50%) and participation in school and community activities (50%)


The Father Ted Colleton Scholarship

The co-sponsors of the Father Ted Colleton Scholarship program, The Interim newspaper and Niagara Region Right to Life, are proud to announce the theme for the essay portion of the contest for the upcoming academic year 2014-2015.

First place – $1500, Second place – $800 and Third place – $500

Criteria:  Open to all senior high school students (grade 11 and 12) across Canada and beyond.  The original essay must be between 1000-1200 words in length, and written in English or French.

To be considered eligible for the Odenza Marketing Scholarship you must:

A) Be between the ages of 16 and 25 on September 30th, 2014

B) Submit answers to the essay questions, which can be found on the application page, prior to the September 30th, 2014 deadline.

C) Have at least one full year of post secondary studies remaining at the time of the award. (Current High School Students are also eligible.)

D) Have a GPA of 2.5 or greater.

E) Be a citizen of the United States or Canada

The scholarship winner will be announced roughly six weeks after the deadline and will be posted on this website immediately after. All applications must be received by 11:59pm ET on September 30th, 2014. No late applications will be reviewed.

TD Scholarship for Community Leadership

Prepare:

– personal profile, letters of reference, careers that interest you, educational institutions you are considering, academic average, 600 word essay

Amounts:
Up to $10 000, for tution per year for a maximum of four years, and $7500 a year for living expenses.  You will also have paid summer employment, mentorship opportunities and network gatherings.

About us: 

Character, service and leadership are the selection criteria for the Loran Scholars program. Loran Scholars are people of strong moral character who have demonstrated commitment to service and potential as leaders. They are curious by nature, interested in a wide range of subjects and willing to take meaningful risks. They prioritize results over appearances and value integrity and honesty. Though they study diverse subjects, and go on to work in a variety of fields, they share a common commitment to their university and larger communities.

We offer 30 scholarships valued at up to $100,000 over four years, including mentorship and a summer program, as well as 40 finalist awards ($3,000) and 40 provincial awards ($2,000).
