Saskatchewan Agriculture Scholarships
Deadline:  March 1, 2015
Criteria and Requirements:  Available to grade 12 students and recent graduates (the past two years) in Saskatchewan planning to take agriculture-related post-secondary education beginning in the fall of 2015.  Agriculture in Saskatchewan is a modern, prosperous industry; it reaches far beyond occupations typically associated with farming and plays a large role in the strength of our economy. Applicants need to produce a three-minute creative video or write a well researched 1000 word essay that showcases one of the Ministry’s four agricultural awareness key themes;  and provide a letter of recommendation from an agriculture teacher, industry leader or community leader.


University of Saskatchewan’s Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships

University of Saskatchewan’s Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarship
Valued up to $24000
Criteria:  Based on academics and/or leadership and contributions to school and community life.
Requirements:  Students who wish to apply for awards must apply for admission to the university by December 1, 2014 and apply for scholarships by December 15, 2014 through the students PAWs account.


Vimy Pilgrimage Award

Criteria and Requirements:  For students (14-17 years old) who have demonstrated exceptional service, positive contributions, notable deeds, bravery or leadership within their schools, communities, province or country.  Winner will learn about Canada’s tremendous First World War Effort.


Burger King Scholars Program

Criteria and Requirements:  must have minimum average of 80%, web based application, consideration is given to each applicant’s academic record (50%) and participation in school and community activities (50%)


The Father Ted Colleton Scholarship

The co-sponsors of the Father Ted Colleton Scholarship program, The Interim newspaper and Niagara Region Right to Life, are proud to announce the theme for the essay portion of the contest for the upcoming academic year 2014-2015.

First place – $1500, Second place – $800 and Third place – $500

Criteria:  Open to all senior high school students (grade 11 and 12) across Canada and beyond.  The original essay must be between 1000-1200 words in length, and written in English or French.
