Grand Lodge of Saskatchewan – Educational Scholarships

The Grand Lodge of Saskatchewan as well as many Lodges sponsor a number of awards, scholarships, and bursaries. Information, including closing dates for applications, along with downloadable application forms are listed on their website.  Criteria ranges from  academic achievement, sportsmanship, leadership, and involvement.  There are a variety of scholarships available to graduating high school students in addition to university students as well.

Larry Wilson Scholarships

Moose Jaw Arts in Motion is pleased to announce that the Larry Wilson Scholarship Program will again be available to students who wish to study in the following artistic disciplines:

  • Drama
  • Dance (Traditional and Contemporary)
  • Musical Theatre (live voice and dance)
  • Instrumental
  • Vocal
  • Literature (including writing, journalism, screen writing)

The scholarships are funded from monies set aside by Larry Wilson to acknowledge the contributions that his family made to the arts. They are executed by the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation.

Rotary Club of Moose Jaw Wakamow Scholarship

Amount:  

  • $1000

Eligibility:

  • Scholarship will be awarded to one Grade Twelve student graduating from a Moose Jaw high school (Central; Peacock; Riverview; Cornerstone)

Criteria:

  • academic standing; involvement; leadership; volunteer and work experience

Note: 

  • Scholarship may be deferred for a year if the student is on a year long Rotary Exchange or is deferring post-secondary attendance to work due to financial need.

  • Be between the ages of 17 and 24 on September 2, 2015
  • Submit answer to the essay question, which cna be found on the application page, prior to the June 2st ,2015 deadline.
  • Have a gpa of 2.5 or greater.
  • Be a resident of the US or Canada.

The Rotary Club of Moose Jaw

Rotary Clubs internationally believe in “Service Above Self;” and as such, The Rotary Club of Moose Jaw is offering Moose Jaw high school students an opportunity to apply for a scholarship to assist with post-secondary.

Build a Better World Scholarship

Build a Better World Scholarship – for Grade 12 Students

The Build a Better World Scholarship is for students on track to graduate this spring and are planning to enroll in any type of post-secondary education (Saskatchewan Polytechnic, etc.), not just university. We’re encouraging all students to apply no matter where they’re continuing their post-secondary education. We have 88 scholarships of $500 to award in 2015.

Elwood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Scholarship

Elwood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Scholarship – for Grade 11 Students

The Elwood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Scholarship is a unique opportunity for Grade 11 students to gain knowledge of co-operatives and their credit union and how they support their community.

This unique award program is offered by our District Councils, the people elected to represent their communities within the credit union. Two $2,500 scholarships will be awarded in each of our 12 geographic districts. Recipients participate in their local District Council meetings and other events during their Grade 12 year!
