Bursary Program for French Studies

Students who are interested in learning or practicing French are welcome to apply for Destination Clic (Grade 8 and 9) or Explore.

Participants in these programs receive a bursary and are able to practice their French-language skills through a variety of workshops, classes, and cultural activities.

A week that can change your life!

Are you smart, ambitious, and political? Do you want to be part of your community and your country’s future? Get involved now! Forum for Young Canadians presents a fun and valuable opportunity to meet other young Canadians like you during a week-long behind-the-scenes experience in the world of federal politics on Parliament Hill. For nine months, Forum supports your initiatives and helps you make a difference. You’ll learn how to share, collaborate and turn your ideas into community action. You’ll meet Members of Parliament, Senators and other leading figures in government and the public service.

Age:  15-19 years of age

2016 Sessions:

Sears DX Canadian School Design Competition

Design Exchange is proud to announce the 20th Annual DX Canadian High School Design Competition. This competition promotes the study and awareness of all design disciplines in schools across Canada and is open to all high school students at junior (grades 9 and 10) and senior (grades 11 and 12) levels.

Prizes are awarded at both levels in five categories:

  • Industrial Design
  • Fashion Design
  • Costume Design
  • Architecture/Interior Design
  • Graphic Design

Global Vision – Junior Team Canada

The Junior Team Canada Trade Mission to China, August 1st-20th, 2015
 
Global Vision is looking for thirty-five of Canada’s top youth leaders to represent their communities and country as Ambassadors on a Junior Team Canada Trade Mission to China this summer. On this whirlwind Mission, JTC will promote Canadian business and education in the world’s largest economy. As Ambassadors they will not only get the unique opportunity to build trade and development ties, but also experience the culture and history of China with a team of like-minded Canadian youth leaders. Deadline to apply is April 24th. Global Vision – National Youth Ambassador Caucus

The National Youth Ambassador Caucus, Ottawa ON, June 4th-8th, 2015
 
One hundred youth leaders from Coast, to Coast, to Coast will be selected for the National Youth Ambassador Caucus (NYAC) organized by Global Vision. At the NYAC, Ambassadors will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the National Flag of Canada, learn more about Canada beyond their own backdoor and showcase their ideas for local community events celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday in 2017 to Members of Parliament, senior Ministers and national leaders from business, education and community. Ambassadors will further develop their skills while enhancing their community leadership capacity at the NYAC and will leave with a greater appreciation for Canada’s rich heritage as well as the skills & knowledge necessary to effect positive change in their communities. Course Changes/Additions
The old curriculum Science 20 courses WILL be offered one last time this summer, but since Sask Learning will be shutting the course codes off as of July 30th, we can only give the full Summer months (to the end of August) for completion and there will be NO extensions to those final dates, please make students aware if they are registering for any of these three courses.

Since last year we have added:

  • History 20
  • Digital Citizenship 20
  • Physical Science 20
  • Environmental Science 20
  • Health Science 20

All will be available for summer enrollment.  In addition the Science 10 course will be the NEW Curriculum when it is offered in the summer.
