Free Welding Applied Certificate

A free 33-week Welding Applied Certificate is aimed to encourage groups including, but not limited to, women, Indigenous peoples, newcomers to Canada, persons with disabilities, and those currently underemployed, to explore a career in the skilled trades. Register for the information sessions to be eligible to continue with the process of applying for the program.

USASK Sparks – Career Info

A new career counselling tool for high school students is available to help determine what they want to do after grade 12. USASKSparks is a webinar series to help students discover their passions and explore problems they would like to solve in their career. Follow up opportunities to meet with advisors to explore post-secondary options are available. Webinars are each Monday in April from 10:00 to 11:00 am. MORE SESSIONS HAVE BEEN ADDED!

2021 Moose Jaw CO-OP Scholarship Applications

Indigenous Student Experience Days at U of S

Indigenous Student Experience Days at the University of Saskatchewan (USask) is coming up online this week on Tues. Apr. 13 and Wed. Apr. 14. We’re inviting Métis, First Nations and Inuit students in high school, who are thinking about going to university, and/or who have already applied to come get to know the USask campus community. Supporters like parents or other family members, teachers and counsellors are welcome, too!

Over two days, you will be able to participate in cultural and academic experiences online, and meet with other prospective and current university students, university staff and faculty, alumni and Elders.

Activities include:

·       virtual presentations and information sessions hosted by colleges and programs from across USask

·       a student and alumni panel featuring current Indigenous university students and graduates

·       a Talking Circle with Elders and Circle Keepers

·       keynote speaker Constable John Langan, who is a member of the Keeseekoose First Nation and a graduate of the Indigenous justice and criminology program at USask

·       an online scavenger hunt game where you can complete missions to score points, and be entered into a draw for exciting prizes

·       an application for admission workshop for university programs in agriculture and bioresources, arts and science, business, language teacher education and engineering (The application for admission fee will be waived for eligible students who submit an application during this event.)

All activities are online, enabling you to join from wherever you are located and take part in the activities that work for your schedule. We hope to see you and your students on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 13 and 14, this week, at Indigenous Student Experience Days! 


Chris Lamb Scholarship

School of Natural Medical Aesthetics

Eligibility

Open to students in Canada graduating high school. Students will be required to write a minimum 500 word essay in regards to a major challenge or issue they see in the world and how they intend to help resolve it using their skills and knowledge they will attain during their studies.

The winner must authorize School of Natural Medical Aesthetics to use and disclose their essay in its marketing and public relations efforts and acknowledge that the essay may be distributed to the media, other individuals and entities that may be involved in School of Natural Medical Aesthetics marketing and public relations efforts and the public.

How To Apply

In order to be considered for this award, you must submit the online Application and attach your essay.

Deadline

Students must submit the online form no later than May 31st, 2021.

Essays will be graded and the winner will be awarded the scholarship by August 1, 2021.


Vanier General Scholarships

ALL Grade 12 students are required to complete the Vanier General Scholarship Application form to be considered for any and all school scholarships that are administered through Vanier (Vanier Collegiate Scholarships Committee).

There will be a virtual presentation on March 23 reviewing a number of scholarships and explaining Vanier’s General Scholarship Application Form.

Details:

  • You can do a paper copy or a PDF Fillable Form and then print it.
    • You can add a resume to your scholarship package and if possible please provide a copy of your acceptance letter from the school you plan on attending.
  • Deadline: All paper copies need to be handed into your Catholic Studies teacher on March 30, 2021.
    • If you miss the deadline, Ms. Lapointe will come and see you to ask you to fill one out on March 31.
    • If you are learning online, please contact Ms. Lapointe if you have not received her emails and you can email the information to her at christa.lapointe@htcsd.ca.
    • These copies will then be provided to the scholarship committee.
  • MANDATORY FOR ALL STUDENTS REGARDLESS OF PLANS OR GRADES.

SSBA – Saskatchewan School Boards Association Scholarships

Each year the Saskatchewan School Boards Association awards two $2,500.00 scholarships to graduating Saskatchewan high school students:

  • Degree Program Scholarship: $2,500
  • Technical/Trade Program Scholarship: $2,500
  • Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of demonstrated good character, community leadership, financial need, and a 500-word essay.

Leader Post Foundation

The Leader Post Foundation  (3 X $5000)
These bursaries are granted primarily on need. Graduating students must be accepted as a full-time student at a recognized institution and provide reference letters. Involvement in school and community must be evident.
