Federated Co-operatives Limited and the Co-operative Retailing System are helping tomorrow’s ag leaders get a head start on their careers. The Excellence in Ag Program is a unique scholarship and internship opportunity that helps finance a student’s education, provide valuable field experience, and build their professional career in the agribusiness industry. Up to four students studying agriculture or business at an accredited institution will enter the program every year.

Scholarships
The scholarship has a value of up to $20,000, with up to $5,000 per year paid over a maximum of four years.
Internships
Paid summer internships will be available for up to three years at a retail co-operative in Manitoba, Saskatchewan or Alberta.
Employment
Upon successful completion of post-secondary education, students have the opportunity for full-time employment – including a signing bonus – at a retail co-operative.
Eligibility and application
All applicants must be entering or already enrolled in a diploma or degree program in agriculture or business at an accredited post-secondary institution.
Applicants must submit the following:
A) Completed and signed application form
B) Resume
C) Proof of enrolment in a post-secondary institution or conditional letter of acceptance
D) Transcript of academic record
E) Two letters of reference from a teacher, principal, guidance counselor, supervisor or mentor (with at least one being from a work supervisor)

To be eligible for the 10 Words or Less Scholarship a student must:
1) Anyone who is between the ages of 14-25 who will be attending school in the Fall of 2021.

The BURGER KING℠ Scholars program assists employees, employees’ spouses or domestic partners, employees’ children and high school seniors in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada in continuing their education. To date, the program has awarded more than $44 million in scholarships to more than 39,000 students. Last year alone, $4 million in scholarships were awarded to nearly 3,700 deserving students.

TWO OPTIONS:
- Burger King General Track – any grade 12 student living in US, Canada or Puerto Rico, enrolling into school next year, 70% average or higher
- Burger King Employee Based Track – must be employee or a child of an employee

The Quest for Excellence program is a bursary program for grade 12 students in Western Canada. It was established by RE/MAX of Western Canada to recognize the success and ongoing pursuits of Western Canadian students in regard to leadership and community contribution initiatives.
What is Awarded?
RE/MAX of Western Canada will award 16 bursaries of $1,000 each to qualifying Grade 12 students. In addition, each award includes a Certificate of Excellence signed by the Regional Executive Vice President of RE/MAX of Western Canada. Winners will be notified in April 2021.
Who Can Participate?
The Quest for Excellence is open to all Grade 12 students attending high school from September 2020 – June 2021. Grade 12 students may not have participated in graduation commencement ceremonies in the past. Applicants must be a resident of one of the following provinces/territories.
- British Columbia
- Alberta
- Saskatchewan
- Manitoba
- Yukon Territory
- Northwest Territory
What is Required?
Students are to convey the contributions they have made to their communities in a short online essay, maximum 1,250 words.
Key qualities students should demonstrate are leadership, motivation and communication skills.
Other attributes may include volunteering, participation in charitable events or fundraising, and contributions that enrich the lives of others and their communities.
