INDIGENOUS STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
Award amount: $10,000
Awarding First Nation, Métis and Inuit student leaders who have demonstrated academic success, personal strength, and a commitment to preserving Indigenous languages and culture.
Nelson Education’s mission is to enable the success of Canadian students. We recognize students who are committed to continued civic engagement and leadership. If you are one of these leaders, you have an opportunity to receive one of three $5000 scholarships!
All Applicants
- Completed online application form
- 500–750 word essay detailing your civic leadership activities
- Minimum 75% average in final year of high school
- A reference letter from a high school teacher
Finalists
- High school transcripts
- An additional reference letter from someone in your community
- Letter of acceptance to a Canadian post-secondary program of study
Scholarship Recipients
- Proof of tuition payment (first installment)
